In the afternoon, on July 14, 2015, Runfar Group Board Chairman Teng Hexian (hereinafter referred to as “Mr. Teng”) gave a special interview to The Hankyoreh. Founded by retirees of The Dong-A Ilbo (East Asia Daily), The Hankyoreh started its publication in 1988. It’s one of the 4 largest newspapers in Korea at present. Issued in Korean, its daily circulation is as high as 280,000 copies.
Interviewers in this special interview included The Hankyoreh Publication Bureau’s Chief Kim Hyeon Dae, The Hankyoreh Media Marketing Company’s Manager Kim Jin Hyeon, The Hankyoreh International Department’s Undersecretary Bak Yeong Beop. Chief Kim Hyeon Dae thanked Mr. Teng for giving The Hankyoreh the interview.
As required by the interviewers, Mr. Teng briefly introduced the establishment and basic information of Runfar Investment Group and Chinese and Foreign Entrepreneurs Alliance, and gave answers to their questions, especially to the question about “the influence of signing China-Korea Free Trade Agreement on Chinese entrepreneurs”. According to him, the signing of China-Korea FTA is an opportunity to both Chinese and Korean entrepreneurs, a key joint point for the competition and win-win cooperation between the two sides; Chinese entrepreneurs pay much attention to the signing of China-Korea FTA; they will strengthen their cooperation with Korean enterprises.
In Mr. Teng’s opinion, Korean enterprises’ investment in China didn’t go well in the past because they didn’t have good risk tolerance, didn’t communicate with local governments well, didn’t grasp the opportunities well; after signing China-Korea FTA, Chinese government offers unified favorable policies, in the hope that more Korean enterprises can grasp the opportunity to cooperate with outstanding Chinese enterprises for mutual benefit and win-win results.
After the interview, The Hankyoreh and Chinese and Foreign Entrepreneurs Alliance signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement to lay a firm foundation for Chinese and Korean entrepreneurs’ in-depth cooperation in the next step.
