At 13:00, on June 6, 2015, LPG Carrier “Baole” carrying nearly 2,000t of LPG reached Zhongjian Wanjia Dock, which marked Zhongjian Wanjia Terminal officially welcomed its first operation after the overhaul.

LPG Carrier “Baole” was the first seagoing vessel to berth at Zhongjian Wanjia Dock since it was completed, and the largest LPG Carrier to berth at Zhongjian Wanjia Dock in its history. Whether the ship could successfully dock with the pontoon of Zhongjia Wanjia or not, it undoubtedly was a huge test of Wanjia staff. As Zhongjian Wanjia’s first actual operation after the overhaul, it also was a test of the terminal’s equipment overhaul.

In the morning that day, Zhongjian Wanjia General Manager Wang Tieli convened a general meeting for this ship unloading and truck loading task. At the meeting, Mr. Wang carefully analyzed the difficulties and challenges in this task, explained every operation step specification in detail, and divided the duties for each department and even individual. The Group Headquarters’ leader Peng Ruisong also attended the meeting throughout. Mr. Peng specially stressed that the staff should keep a safety-first, modest and prudent attitude toward this task.

At 13:00, on June 6, LPG Carrier “Baole” reached Zhongjian Wanjia Dock. In the afternoon, on June 8, it left the dock after 48 hours of unloading. During the two days and two nights of ship unloading, Zhongjian Wanjia’s staff under the lead of Mr. Wang worked without a stop, stuck to their posts, finished loading several tank trucks while unloading the LPG carrier. The rest LPG in the terminal’s storage tanks will be loaded and delivered successively to complete the transaction in a few days.

After the ship unloading was finished, General Manager Wang Tieli convened a summary meeting at once. He affirmed the whole staff’s work, pointed out the detailed problems discovered in operation, and gave solutions one by one. The ship unloading operation marked Zhongjian Wanjia restarted operation. The whole staff trained their operational ability and accumulated operational experience through the actual operation, discovered deficiencies in hardware and software in the actual operation and rectified in time, providing a solid guarantee of the safe and smooth progress of later operations.
